Does Our Past Define Our Future?
Our past influences our future, but it does not have to define it.
Welcome to My Life Redeemed.
If you’re here, perhaps you’re searching for hope, looking for answers, or trying to find your way back to God.
Maybe you’ve made choices you regret. Maybe life has taken you down a road you never expected. Or maybe you’re wondering if you can change your life and start again.
I understand, because I’ve been there.
I grew up knowing about God and His Word, but somewhere along the way, I began making choices that led me away from Him. Those decisions brought struggles, consequences, and some of the darkest moments of my life.
But through it all, I discovered something that changed me: God had not given up on me.
Through Jesus Christ, I began to understand the meaning of repentance, forgiveness, grace, and redemption.
That’s why I created My Life Redeemed.
Not because I’ve lived a perfect life or have all the answers, but because I want to share what God has taught me through my experiences and His Word.
My hope is that my journey will encourage you in yours.
Where Should You Begin?
1. My Story — Finding My Way Back to God
My testimony is about the choices I made, the consequences I faced, and how God began changing the direction of my life.
I’ve learned that while we cannot always change our past, we can choose how we move forward.
Through repentance, faith, and obedience to God’s Word, we can begin living differently.
2. Learning to Live by God’s Word
One of the greatest lessons I’ve learned is that knowing Scripture and living according to it are not the same thing.
God’s Word isn’t simply something we read. It’s something we are called to put into practice.
Over time, I began following a simple process:
Read → Reflect → Pray → Apply
- Read God’s Word with an open heart.
- Reflect on what it teaches and how it applies to your life.
- Pray for wisdom, understanding, and guidance.
- Apply what you’ve learned through your daily decisions and actions.
Following Christ is a daily journey of learning, growing, and allowing His Word to transform our lives.

3. Discovering Wisdom Through Proverbs
The Book of Proverbs has played an important role in my spiritual growth.
Its teachings about wisdom, humility, discipline, relationships, and the consequences of our choices helped me examine my own life.
I began reading one chapter each day, using its 31 chapters as a guide for daily reflection.
What started as a reading habit became an opportunity to recognize where I needed to change and learn to trust God’s wisdom rather than my own understanding.
There Is Hope in Jesus Christ
One thing I’ve learned is that following Christ doesn’t mean our past disappears.
Sometimes we must face consequences, take responsibility for our actions, seek forgiveness, and work toward making things right.
But our past doesn’t have to determine our future.
The Bible tells us:
“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.” — 2 Corinthians 5:17 (NKJV)
That Scripture reminds me that through Christ, we can experience forgiveness, transformation, and a new direction in life.
Let’s Walk This Journey Together
I don’t know what brought you here today.
Maybe you’re struggling with your past, searching for purpose, or simply wanting to know God better.
Whatever your circumstances, I encourage you to begin with His Word.
Read. Reflect. Pray. And put what you learn into practice.
I’m still learning and growing in my faith, and I invite you to walk this journey with me.
Jesus said:
“Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.” — Matthew 11:28 (NKJV)
My Life Redeemed isn’t about how good I’ve become. It’s about how good God has been to me, even when I didn’t deserve His mercy.
If sharing my experiences helps even one person find hope, turn toward Christ, or grow closer to God, then sharing my story has served a purpose.
Thank you for visiting. May God bless you and guide your steps.
