“The Bible Is Our Way To A Better Relation With God”

How to Strengthen Your Relationship With God

Understanding your relationship with God is a lifelong journey. Our faith grows through prayer, Bible study, worship, obedience, gratitude, and a genuine desire to know Him better. While every believer’s journey looks different, there are practical, everyday habits we can build to strengthen our connection with God and grow closer to Him.

1. Spend Time With God

One of the best ways to grow closer to God is to invest consistent time in Him. Prayer allows us to talk honestly with God about our worries, hopes, struggles, and gratitude. Meanwhile, reading the Bible helps us understand His character, His promises, and His will for our lives.
You do not have to spend hours studying Scripture every day to make an impact. Even a few quiet minutes of intentional prayer and Bible reading can build a resilient spiritual foundation. In spiritual habits, consistency always matters more than perfection.

2. Learn From Other Believers

We were never meant to walk through our Christian faith completely alone. Attending church, participating in Bible studies, and building relationships with mature believers provide crucial encouragement, wisdom, and accountability.
The Book of Proverbs repeatedly reminds us of the importance of seeking godly counsel and instruction. Other believers can lift us when our faith feels weak and help us practically apply God’s Word to the complexities of everyday life.

3. Remember God’s Faithfulness

Take regular intervals to reflect on how God has actively worked in your life. Think about answered prayers, difficult seasons you survived, unexpected blessings, and the lessons you have learned along the way.
Keeping a prayer or gratitude journal is an excellent tool to preserve these moments. Sometimes, we do not fully realize how faithful God has been until we intentionally stop and look backward. Remembering His past faithfulness strengthens our trust in Him when we face entirely new challenges.

4. Practice Gratitude and Surrender

Gratitude shifts our perspective, helping us focus on what God has given us rather than constantly dwelling on what we lack. Hand in hand with gratitude is surrender, which teaches us to trust God even when we do not understand His timing or plan.
We cannot control every situation, and we will not always get the immediate answers we want. Surrender does not mean giving up or becoming passive. It means confidently placing our concerns in God’s hands and choosing faith over fear, trusting His heart more than our own finite understanding.

Growing Closer to God Takes Time
There will be vibrant seasons when you feel incredibly close to God, and quiet seasons when He may seem distant. Do not let the difficult, quiet seasons convince you that your faith has failed. Keep praying, keep reading God’s Word, and keep seeking wisdom.
Strengthening your relationship with God does not happen overnight. It happens through small, daily choices to seek Him and follow His Word. You do not have to understand everything at once. Start with simple steps, remain consistent, and continue seeking Him one day at a time.
